“….Because I am not the cheap drinker!”
Standing by the subtly semicircular and utterly glassy bar table,
this time nauseated with lychee martinis.
She hooked her eyes on him.
The narrow-waisted Delilah had found her lethal target tonight!
Standing by the utterly semicircular, subtly glassy bar table,
this time nauseated with tequila slammer.
He disoriented himself in her bloodshot gaze,
The broad-chested blade had fallen in toxic love tonight!
She was the bloody red allurement,
wearing onto herself, the shimmering red disco wear,
the passionate red nail enamel, the sinful red lipwear!
No! Her eyes were black, monique jet black.
Her hair, copper and curled, till below her shoulders
Ohh! he felt bloody prostrated tonight!
She looked into his eyes,
searching for traces of a victim,
she saw it much!
He looked into her eyes,
searching for traces of concern,
he never found much!
Smiled she, a demented one at him,
almost calling him on to her bar!
The goddess of dark love was calling him for a drink tonight!
Alas! He did not choose to see…
“Can I get you a drink?” asked he
“Give me red” said she
“Excuse me?”
“A red coloured drink, like the red wine! I am not the cheap drinker, you see”
Bewildered he was at her, straight were her eyes, stuck at him!
He looked up to her, to the stark red eyes!
Down his spine, travelled an electric charge.
As for the ‘red colour drink’, he was paying the bill!
Never had he come across such a headstrong lady..
Her power to hypnotize was driving him crazy!
His vision, travelling through the dead night
illuminated in the inside by disco lights!
His secrets shook.
Oblivious to everything but her beauty,
he lost his way, and so,
he again found her, minutes later..
The lady of strange appeal,
sipping through her wine!
Wine of black lust and lonely shadows!
She raised her goblet and thought,
“What if this was blood?”
As he came to sit next to his love tonight!
“I don’t see you often here.” said he..
“I come here on Fridays, the 13th” said she
.“There is something about you, no girl has”
“Yes, not every girl is on the top of the food chain.”
“I’d like to see you more often here”
“Ha! Perhaps this is the last you’ll see of me for real.”
Alas! Sooner on her table,
lay the dead red chest,
of the man who got her red wine!
As her hair crucified the skull
of another forgotten lover.
He lay there frozen,
as a murdered rose bled on the table.
Soon enough, her lips were smudged with auburn blood,
As she raised her goblet and said,
‘Cheers!!’
She kissed the dead wooer and exclaimed,
“Thanks for the red, honey!”
